Composites

Aerogels can be combined with other materials to obtain improved products. The resulting aerogel composites combine the positive properties that can lead to increased mechanical stability, which is often achieved through fiber or honeycomb reinforcement. There are many possibilities in the choice of both aerogel and the partner, allowing for example the combination of organic aerogels with inorganic materials and vice versa.
